The High School Multimedia Center is a state-of-the-art room that includes the latest technologies for education. Anything from distance learning, multimedia presentations, and virtual learning experiences can be offered. Equipment includes: distance learning equipment, DVD, CD, SVHS, Document Camera, CATV, 4 32' tv's, digital theater style projector, 16 network drops, easy touch screen interface.
Our Middle-Intermediate School complex also has a Large Group Instruction Room (LGI) that possesses similar equipment and provides many of the same educational opportunities for staff and students.
Using these two rooms, our students have participated in more than 200 virtual learning experiences across all grade levels and curriculum areas. We’ve visited zoos, health and science centers, art and history museums, music institutes, and more. The rooms can communicate with sites around the world using ISDN phone lines or the Internet. The distance learning component of our technology program has grown rapidly since we first installed the rooms, allowing us to enhance the education our students receive in the classroom.
