Welcome to Gardner Road Elementary School's website, the online home of the Golden Stars. As part of the Horseheads Central School District, our mission is to promote excellence and growth for all students in all ways so that everyone reaches their highest potential.
Each students' journey towards graduation is a thirteen year path of learning and growing. The first five steps of that journey occur in our building with grades kindergarten through fourth grade. Knowing this, we all work diligently to assure students become tomorrow's leaders that are prepared to be productive, caring and responsible citizens. The dedicated and caring staff at Gardner Road engages students with highly effective lessons that incorporate inquiry based learning, differentiated instruction, cooperative learning, hands-on activities and more to meet the rigor of the learning standards.
As you browse our website, you will catch a glimpse of the talented staff at Gardner Road that provide "a quality education for all" students. I can assure you that this is even truer as you walk into our teachers' classrooms. As you walk the halls, you would see members of our dedicated PTO volunteering their time in our schools to offer even more opportunities for our students. Everyone within the Gardner Road community is working collaboratively in order to meet the needs of our students. My mission is to assure:
- all students achieve their highest potential while learning in a safe, caring and supportive environment.
- our staff has a clearly defined, differentiated yet rigorous curriculum that focuses on all students learning and growing.
- students enjoy being at school and build memorable experiences that they will cherish throughout their life.
- everyone in our community works collaboratively to achieve success.
On behalf of all staff at Gardner Road, we thank you for visiting our online home. We invite you to also visit us at our school as well. Feel free to give us a call at 739-6347 or
