Budget Vote will take place on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at the High School North Gym
The public defeated the first budget on May 20, 2025. The board has developed a revised budget that will be presented to voters at the budget vote on Tuesday, June 17 at the High School North Gym. Voting
All district residents are eligible to vote, provided they meet the following requirements:
- Are a U.S. citizen
- Are 18 years of age or older on the day of the vote
- Have lived in the district for at least 30 days prior to the vote
- Are not restricted from voting in general elections based on election law
OR

Absentee and Early Mail Voting
Qualified voters who cannot get to the polls on May 20 may request an application for absentee or early mail ballot.
Applications for absentee and early mail ballots are available at the District Office, 143 Hibbard Road, Horseheads, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. up to and including May 19. Ballots can only be mailed or issued in-person only directly to the applicant. Applicants may not designate another individual to individual to receive the ballot on their behalf.
Completed ballots must be returned to the District Clerk no later than 5 p.m. on May 20. The district mails absentee ballots to voters listed as “permanently disabled” by the Chemung County Board of Elections.
